If Yes, then please advice the process for the people who are in other states as how to get this done. Thanks The required documents will be scanned and uploaded in computer by the applicant at the stage of filing the online claim application. Thereafter, the applicant or someone on his behalf can take the original documents to jurisdictional Tahsildar( i.e., the Tahsildar for the Talluk where the residence of the applicant is located) for getting the scanned documents e-attested. For applicants from outside Karnataka, the e-attestation will be done by an officer of the Competent Authority at its office in Bengaluru. Though the online application can be filed up to 24.12.2020 (starting from 25.11.2020) yet the applicants have been given additional time up to 24.02.2021 to get the e-attestation completed.

The Competent Authority can return the money only after the trial for confirmation of interim attachment of properties is completed by the Special Court, money realized from auction of the confirmed properties and Special Court finally approves the claim amounts for the depositors. This process may take time up to June 2021.
